„Poznań Silent Night” to projekt kierowany do młodzieży, studentów poznańskich uczelni oraz mieszkańców Poznania. Podczas wydarzenia na Placu Wolności na scenie i tarasie Arkadii każdy – bez względu na wiek, płeć, kolor skóry, wyznanie czy język – może wziąć udział we wspólnym śpiewaniu kolędy „Cicha Noc”.
Pragniemy, by dzięki „Poznań Silent Night” studenci poczuli się w Poznaniu jak w domu, choć często są od niego oddaleni o setki lub tysiące kilometrów. Zapraszamy wszystkie te środowiska studenckie do miejsca, które jest sercem Poznania, czyli na Plac Wolności, gdzie wspólnie będą mogli poczuć, że Poznań to miasto otwarte, tolerancyjne i gościnne.
Podczas wydarzenia zaśpiewamy wspólnie na schodach Arkadii, tworząc wielojęzyczny chór. Znane i lubiane utwory świąteczne będą przeplatały się z wielojęzycznymi wykonaniami utworu „Cicha noc”. Oprócz śpiewu usłyszymy muzykę na żywo oraz inne utwory muzyczne. Każdy znajdzie tu coś dla siebie i na ulubioną nutę przeniesie się w świąteczny klimat.
Magię zbliżających się Świąt podkreślimy pięknym oświetleniem, a dodatkowo atmosferę podgrzeją ogrzewacze dla uczestników.
Spotkanie będzie moderowane w języku angielskim i polskim.
Dopełnieniem wieczoru będzie „Silent Disco”, podczas którego odbiorcy będą mogli słuchać muzyki w przygotowanych dla nich słuchawkach (dostępnych będzie 200 sztuk). Będą to trzy kanały muzyczne, w których nadawane zostaną kolędy oraz międzynarodowa muzyka świąteczna.

- oficjalne rozpoczęcie „Poznań Silent Night” oraz powitanie zgromadzonych gości i władze Miasta Poznania.
- wspólne zaśpiewanie kolędy „Cicha Noc” w języku polskim,
- odśpiewanie „Cichej Nocy” jednocześnie w różnorodnych językach,
- krótka prelekcja dotycząca historii utworu,
- rozpoczęcie cyklu utworów naprzemiennie „Cichej Nocy” w wybranym języku z utworami świątecznymi muzyki popularnej,
- po wysłuchaniu wszystkich prezentacji muzycznych zapraszamy na do udziału w Silent Disco.

„Poznan Silent Night” is a project for all people, Polish and International students, visitors and residents of Poznan. During the event at Plac Wolności we will come together at our Christmas market and stage to sing „Silent Night” in many different languages, regardless of age, gender, skin color, religion or culture we represent.
Poznań Silent Night is intended to make international students feel welcome and included in the Christmas spirit of Poznań, especially if they are hundreds or thousands of kilometers away from home. Our goal is to bring the entire academic community together, despite which faculties or departments they come from. We invite all international students and staff to get together at the heart of Poznań, the Plac Wolności (Freedom Square), where we hope as a community to convey a message of an open, tolerant and hospitable city we live in.
During the event, we will sing on stage at the Arkadia steps and around the head of the square, creating a joint multilingual holiday choir. Well-known and popular Christmas songs will be mixed with multilingual renditions of „Silent Night”. Along with the singing, we will hear live music and acoustic back tracks. This way, everyone will find something for them to enjoy and sing along the rhythm of their favorite Christmas music, which will bring us straight into the truly festive atmosphere. The magic of the upcoming Holidays will be enhanced by beautiful lighting of the surrounding Christmas Market. Additional heaters for participants and an introduction from an English speaking master of ceremonies will be provided.
The evening will be completed by a „Silent Disco” during which the public will be able to listen and dance to music using headphones prepared for them (200 sets will be handed out). There will be three music channels broadcasting carols and international Christmas music to choose from.

- official opening of „Poznan Silent Night” and welcome by Piotr Szulc (MC) and the City of Poznań authorities in Polish and English
- public singing of the carol „Silent Night” in Polish
- public singing of „Silent Night” in different languages simultaneously
- short lecture about the history of the song
- public singing of „Silent Night” by groups of international students in the chosen foreign language
- silent Disco kick-off following all of the musical presentations by the MC from stage
