The Department of Eurhythmics and Piano Improvisation
Chaired by prof. dr hab. Małgorzata Kupsik, the Department of Eurhythmics and Piano Improvisation pursues artistic and academic activity related to eurhythmics and piano improvisation, supervises the staff development in the artistic discipline of eurhythmics and dance, and monitors principal subjects taught within the major of Eurhythmics.
The Eurhythmics Group of the I. J. Paderewski Academy of Music boasts a diverse repertoire of movement interpretations of music compositions, ranging from ancient music to the works of the 21st century. Music choreographies developed by the staff of the Department have been presented at numerous concerts at home and abroad (e.g. in Switzerland, Belgium, Austria, Germany, Russia, France, Latvia and Ukraine).
As part of its artistic and academic activity, the Department organizes concerts, academic sessions, symposia, seminars and workshops related with eurhythmics. The most important event is a cyclic Triennial of Music Choreography.
