Patryk Rynkiewicz – trumpeter, improviser, and educator. He is a doctoral student at the I.J. Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań, where he conducts research on the influence of ethnic music on the development of trumpet performance techniques in jazz. In his artistic work, he combines the language of jazz and improvised music with inspirations drawn from traditional—particularly Polish—folk music.
He has performed at many prestigious international festivals, including JazzAhead! (Bremen, 2025), Szczecin Jazz Festival (2025), Jazz’n Chisinau Festival (Moldova, 2024), Jazz HR Festival (Croatia, 2024), Jazz Factory Festival (North Macedonia, 2024), Cairo Jazz Festival (Egypt, 2024), Nisville Jazz Festival (Serbia), Jazz Juniors, Jazz nad Odrą, OFF Festival, Woodstock Festival, and Festiwal Młodego Jazzu (Festival of Young Jazz Musicians).

He is active in academic and educational work, having participated in the Academic Jazz Forum (2023, 2024), where he presented papers on intonation in jazz music and the influence of ethnic traditions on contemporary trumpet techniques. He also conducted jazz workshops at the American University in Cairo (2024).
He has collaborated with prominent artists, including Wojciech Waglewski, Zbigniew Hołdys, Katarzyna Groniec, and the band Skalpel. He studied under Prof. Maciej Fortuna, Gileno Santana, and Arve Henriksen (Dr h.c.).
